If you’re treating your special someone to a wonderful weekend away at Quebec’s Luxury Apartments, you’ll already have scored yourself more than a few brownie points for booking one of the best places to stay in Leeds. But no Valentine’s weekend away in Leeds is complete without a fabulous romantic meal for two at one of the city’s best restaurants. If you’re visiting from out of town, never fear, we’ve put together some top choices to help inspire your first class date night.
Harvey Nichols
If you want to really indulge this Valentine’s Day, start the day before, on the 13th, when the iconic store Harvey Nichols are offering sweethearts the chance to really do date night in style. You and your Valentine can enjoy a screening of Baz Lurhmann’s classic ‘Romeo & Juliet’ whilst tucking into a delicious three course dinner, gourmet popcorn and a specially-designed themed cocktail. With the cinematic sound and visual experience provided by Bang and Olufsen of Leeds, all set in the stunning Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar in the glamorous Victoria Quarter, it’s a perfect event to start your Valentine’s weekend in style.
Hotel Chocolat Roast & Conch
Chocolate & Valentine’s go hand in hand, so a trip to Hotel Chocolat Roast & Conch is bound to please your sweetheart (and their sweet tooth!) The menu is full and varied (and doesn’t all include chocolate!), and their speciality coffees are especially good too.
Giorgio’s Ristorante Italiano
If you and your better half love Italian (is there a more romantic cuisine?), Giorgio’s is well worth a visit. The a la carte menu offers a huge variety of delicious dishes, from anti-pasti to steaks and of course, plenty of authentic Italian pasta too. Giorgio’s has a well earned fantastic reputation and makes a perfect date night venue.
Red’s True Barbecue
If you have an especially big appetite, Red’s is a great option – their portions are generous to say the least, and the food is fantastic. It’s all American fayre that’s on offer – from gourmet burgers to delicious Mac and Cheese, and if your eyes are bigger than your belly, don’t worry – you can ask for a doggy bag to take your leftovers away. (And keep them fresh in your fridge back at your fully equipped apartment!)
Kendell’s Bistro
This cosy, quirky restaurant has a stream of well deserved excellent reviews. Situated in the thriving arts district of Leeds it’s a great spot for a pre-theatre dinner, having been described as a ‘French haven in the heart of the city centre’. The food is wholesome and delicious, including dishes such as duck, salmon en croute and vegetarian options including the risqué ‘Menage aux trois’ – a real treat with leek and Roquefort tart, white bean and aubergine timbale and spinach and pine nut croquette.
Gallery FortyOne
Gallery FortyOne offers a huge range of delicious food, from pizza to pasta to steaks and grilled fish dishes, all served up with style and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat and the staffa re fantastic – Gallery FortyOne is definitely worth a visit.
Of course, you might prefer to really impress your special someone and cook them a meal yourself. It’s not possible at many luxury hotels, but each of our Quebec luxury serviced apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen, giving you free reign to wow your lucky date with your culinary skills!
Plus of course, our friendly team are on hand throughout your stay to help in any way they can – get in touch in advance and we can even make sure there’s a bottle of champagne on ice when you arrive!
